About Archimedes Center
The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship “Archimedes” is a NKUA unit that began its operation in the academic year 2019-20.
Archimedes aspires to connect the research community with the industry. At the same time, it identifies the best business ideas within the university community, with the potential for start-up creation. Archimedes Centre is organized into two offices: The Technology Transfer Office and the Business Accelerator.
The Technology Transfer Office connects researchers with the industry, with the linkage between the two evolving at the various stages of development and exploitation of the University’s intellectual property.
The Business Accelerator offers personalized consulting services, entrepreneurship training, collaborative workplaces, as well as mentoring and networking opportunities with other institutions in Greece and abroad, with the aim to accelerate the business process from the stage of the idea to the stage of market and create sustainable businesses.
Vision
To put knowledge and technology at the service of society.
Goal
The goal of Archimedes Center is to create an ecosystem in which people and resources of the University are combined with people and resources outside the University to promote the development and diffusion of research and knowledge.
